As in-home educators we are here to guide and support families
through the three phases of childbirth.

Prenatal:
|
| With
a staggering amount of baby products on the market, properly outfitting
your new baby can often seem like an endless task. It can be hard
to know what you truly need. Let us help! We provide consumer
education on all the latest baby products.
Many families
are excited about the shopping ahead yet have questions regarding
product selection, or how much they need, or at what age they
need it. We provide comprehensive needs assessment and consumer
education to meet the needs and budget of your family.
An all inclusive
service is available for families happy to let someone else do
all the work and planning. Or for families who have delivered
babies early and were not quite prepared. We will come to your
house, assess your nursery needs, understand your personal taste,
purchase what is needed, as well as, set up and organize your
home in an optimal way for the new baby.

available, and help you choose one that meets your personal needs.
We can assist you in developing a complete birth plan and help
get you packed with, what you really need for the birth
center. We can assist with labor support, or be available to document
your birth memories, freeing others to support the mother. When
needed we can provide childcare for siblings during the delivery
and bring them to see you when you are ready.

Postpartum
|
| The
postpartum period is one of intense physical and emotional re-adjustment.
Every family’s adjustment will be different, depending on
your labor experience and how much support you have in the weeks
to follow. This fourth trimester (your babies' first 12 weeks
of life) is often the most exhausting. Not only are parents recovering
from labor, newborns need to be fed throughout the night, which
can delay a mother’s recovery. This is an emotional and
often worrisome time for many new parents. Baby Blueprints is
here to help!
Post delivery
mothers often have a significant physical recovery period. Baby
Blueprints can be waiting for you when you arrive home to help
care for mom as well as baby. Offering lactation support, caring
for your infant while you get some sleep, and running interference
with well wishers to assure you the quality time you need to bond
with your baby. A mother’s hormones take a substantial amount
of time to return to normal after delivery and this is often a
vulnerable time for her. Having emotional support is key to the
postpartum recovery process. To aid in mom’s recovery we
assist in light house work, laundry, meal prep or errands.
Post delivery
fathers can be almost as exhausted as the laboring mother. It
is emotionally draining for them to watch their partners in pain,
or stand by for a C-section, having no control over the delivery.
New fathers are often physically drained, after supporting their
laboring partner. Baby Blueprints is available to help you at
your birth center, relieving dad so he can get some sleep, run
home for a quick shower or go to work. Knowing an expert has been
brought in to assist mom, often allows him to take care of his
needs.
Some dad’s
may not feel capable of providing the nurturing a new baby and
recovering wife need, others can't wait to participate on all
levels. Baby Blueprints provides hands on assistance to new fathers.
Providing them with the skills they need to care for their new
babies.
If family
and friends are coming to help when the baby comes home, Baby
Blueprints can be there after everyone else has gone home. Whether
you need help everyday, overnight, or just a couple of times a
week, knowing you are going to get a break can help many parents
survive the many sleepless nights of the first three months. Baby
Blueprints is there to answer questions, give instruction and
help parents feel comfortable in their new role. We can also assist
with cooking, cleaning, errands and sibling care, making everyone’s
transition an easy one.

Play With Purpose
|
Baby Blueprints
believes in creating an enriching home environment for your
baby. Many parents are embarrassed to say they don’t know
how to play creatively with their baby or are not sure what
is the best way to enrich the activities they are already doing.
Let us show you how to nurture your baby’s natural curiosity
for learning through creative play. Play is how babies, toddlers,
and children learn. Make the most out of your play time! Provide
an enriching environment by selecting the most appropriate books,
toys, videos, etc. Baby Blueprints can help you develop an on
going, at home music program for your baby, or art program for
your toddler. We will instruct you on developing your babies
attention span. Our belief is parents are a baby’s first
teachers. Through creative and innovative play you can open
up whole new worlds of learning for your child.
